Greetings! Guess who is alive?

Journal Entry: Thu May 26, 2016, 8:29 PM
Heya guys!

I've been back home from house-sitting since Saturday and, if you haven't heard, before that I was painting the house!  I've got two sides all done, the porch painted, and most of the trim done on those same sides.  After I've rested up a couple of more days, since getting home again, it's time to get back to painting the rest of the house!!!  Two more sides to go!!

We've also done a hefty bit of landscaping; it doesn't look like much, but it felt like a -lot- to basically unearth and thin out all the deadwood out from a honeysuckle plant some 15-20 years older than I am.  We've faithfully carried it by pot from house to house, but some time ago that pot decayed and it dug itself a snug little location under our porch of our current abode.  So, when the porch needed painting, the deadwood and mast had to go, and now our honeysuckle is back to being a tiny, contained plant again!!!  (Don't worry, it'll grow back in no time!!!)

There's more landscaping to come: we're going to be tearing out the front yard in the coming month and replacing the existing lawn, putting the ginormous comfrey into pots, and fixing up the cute little fence that used to be there before the comfrey decided to DEVOUR IT.  I have no idea how it managed it but that plant somehow managed to WALK FORWARD about three feet, as well as more than double in size over the last few years, so now we get the joyous task of breaking up the root bulb and attempting to get it under control.  Growing, I get.  But walking and leaving a bare space behind it?  -I- maintain that it is sentient.  I'm sure it runs around at night and raids the neighbor's compost patch and laughs as it turns their pots upside down.  It has that impish look about it.

We've also got a bunch of possible plans for cleaning up the rest of the yard, but they're waiting on getting the house painting done, first!  So much to do!

In other news, if you've been following my Patreon at any point in the last six months, and missed the set of messages I just sent out, drop me a note, ok?  I had links and news for y'all!!

One day, each of the scenes within this gallery will be ones that shock and amaze, taking one's breath away with the intricate tapestry of emotion and story shown through a frozen moment in time. For now, however, I'm content to display only simple views of the complex worlds that dwell within my mind ... as befits the role of the eternal apprentice that I am.
