More "What a Dream" Art and Updates!

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 10, 2009, 2:50 PM

Finally posting some progress!

So, amongst other fun things happening lately, our game is being featured on the front of the Pushbutton Engine page!! It's the very first game listed!! Pushbutton Engine is the open-source middleware that was used as a springboard to create our game -- basically the brain that runs it -- so it's a huge step ahead to be featured in their developer galleries. Isn't that so amazing?! You can check out the full article on our game here or else just check out the front page of the Pushbutton Engine site for more information. You can't miss us, we're front and center on the page!

In other news, you can find some more of the art created for the game here in my own galleries:

F.A.Q. (Short)

  • Looking for other examples of my artwork, or a specific style?   Send me a note, please, I will be happy to provide more examples.

  • What programs do I currently use?   Bryce 6, Vue 6 Pro Studio, Photoshop CS3, Premier Pro CS3, 3DSMax, and Poser Pro assisted by prefabricated models licensed from a number of vendors. I am also in the process of learning how to use a variety of other digital art programs.

  • Do I use traditional media?   Of course! Charcoal and graphite are my preferred mediums, although I've been known to experiment in everything from pastels to acrylics.

  • Do you have a resume or transcripts available?   Of course! A link is available to my resume, to the left, and I can and will happily provide copies of my transcripts.

  • I have other questions!   Send me a note, and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Journal History

deviantID

I am a dedicated artist currently enrolled in the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division, working on my second year of a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design. In addition to the traditional drawing, game design, 2D & 3D animating, and 3D modeling skills I am earning as part of my curriculum, I am also teaching myself to paint digitally.

I am currently looking for work. If you would like to see my portfolio or resume, they are available on my website: [link]. For all other queries, feel free to send me a note, as I am always happy to help.

Thank you for visiting my worlds!

I love your work! You are very inspiring and have a beauty and grace in your art. I am currently trying to get myself together to enroll at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as well. I want to learn web design, digital art and photomanipulation. How have you liked their online program?

:iconnightsongws:
I love the Game Art & Design program very much!! Like with pretty much all online classes, you really get out of them what you put into them -- and I'm finding out the hard way this quarter that putting your all into your work really can pay off. We're working on portfolios in addition to our regular classwork, based upon the assignments we have made in prior classes, in order to make sure that we're making the necessary progress to be successful. It's so daunting, but I'm glad for the extra level of critique just the same. In such a competitive industry, we need it!
